James Thomas Scott, Jr., 70, of Elon passed away at AuthoraCare Hospice Home on Monday, October 3, 2022.
A native of Alamance County, he was the son of James Thomas Scott, Sr. and Adell Horner Scott, both deceased. He was a former truck driver.
Survivors include, Diane Scott of the home; three children, Wesley Scott, Tommy Scott, and Annie Davis; sister, Carolyn Scott Minor; sister-in-law, Dale Perry; best friends, Dean Randleman and Danny Walker; and his riding buddy, Oscar. He was preceded in death by a brother, Terry Scott and three sisters, Debbie Sweat, Laura Horner, and Fern Smith.
A graveside service will be conducted at Graham Memorial Park on Friday, October 7, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. by Rev. Stephen Hall with the family receiving friends from 1:30 until 2:30 p.m. prior to the service at Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington. At other times, the family will be at the home of his sister, Carolyn Minor, 2268 Sunberry Drive, Graham, NC.
