Mr. James Allen “Jimmy” Lynch, 68, of Graham passed away at Liberty Commons on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at 11:45 p.m.
A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Mary Ann Chappell Lynch, who survives and the son of David Francis Lynch and Helen Pass Lynch Wagoner, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by his step father, Benny Wagoner. After working with the City of Graham, Jimmy later retired from Stout Trucking of Greensboro. Jimmy was a member of the Burlington H.O.G. Chapter and the Burlington Shag Club. Jimmy loved his family, friends and children. He immensely enjoyed driving his dump truck and riding 3-wheeler trikes.
In addition to his wife of their home, survivors include two daughters, Christy Gantos and Misty Lynch Ford; son, David Lynch, I; his grandchildren, David A Lynch, II, Emily Lynch, Preston Lynch, Hunter Ford, Ethan Ford, Carmen G. Braddy and Caitlyn Gantos, along with 6 great grandchildren. Also surviving are his sister, Frances Lynch Bailey and brothers, Michael Lynch, Danny Lynch and Larry Lynch.
The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Graham on Monday, December 2, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. by Rev, Don Pegg and Pastor Steve Hinton. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. In keeping with Jimmy’s perspective on life, the family requests that dress for the service be casual.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Alamance-Caswell or to Alamance County Meals On Wheels.
