Dr James Hall

Dr. James L. Hall, 80, of Elon, passed away at his residence on Saturday, August 8, 2020. A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of June Hall, and son of the late James Luther Hall and Pauline Brown Hall. Dr. Hall was an Evangelist, a member of Altamahaw Baptist Church, and the Southern Baptist Association. He had also preached overseas holding Crusades in Asia, Africa and Europe. Dr. Hall was a veteran of the 82nd Airborne Division of the US Army.

Surviving are his wife, June Hall, of the home; daughter, Bonnie Thornton of Elon; son, Michael Hall and wife Amy of Greensboro; four grandchildren, Adam Ayers, Abigail Ayers, Taylor Whittington and wife Kaytee, and Aleah Whittington; and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, August 11, at Altamahaw Baptist Church with Dr. Steve Tucker officiating. Burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park.

The family will greet friends from 1:00 – 1:45 PM, at the Church prior to the service.
