Burlington – Mr. James Douglas “Jimmy” Hilton, 75, of Burlington, passed away suddenly at his residence on Saturday, February 2, 2019.
A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Evelyn Hogan Hilton, who survives, and son of the late Harry Hilton and Lelia Shockley Hilton. Jimmy worked for 45 years with Burlington Industries Pioneer Plant and currently Decorative Fabrics of America in Burlington as Maintenance Lead. He was a member of Zion Christian Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, hunting and being outdoors.
Surviving, other than his wife of the home are, a daughter, Crystal Piarrot (Henry) of Green Bay, WI; granddaughter, Kasey Piarrot; grandson, Jacob Williams, both of the home; sister, Elizabeth Ann Ingle of Gibsonville; granddaughter-in-law, Alison Scarlett of Graham; two brothers-in-law, Russell Hogan (Doney) of Burlington and Richard Hogan (Fran) of Thunderbolt, GA. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Harry E. Hilton, Jr., Melvin L. Hilton, Jerry R. Hilton, and Bobby Hilton; two sisters, Mary Francis Hilton; a daughter, Cynthia Lynn Hilton and a grandson, Christopher Lee Scarlett.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, February 6, at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Graham. Burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 AM-12:45 AM at Rich & Thompson Funeral Service and Crematory in Graham, and other times at the residence.
