James “Paul” Douglas Haste

James “Paul” Douglas Haste, 60, of Burlington passed away at Alamance Regional Medical Center on Sunday, September 2, 2018 at 8:05 p.m.

A native of Alamance County, he was the son of the late George M. Haste and Eva Gates Haste, who survives. He was formerly employed with Big Lots in the maintenance department and of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his mother of Burlington, survivors include a sister, Margaret Hollar of Hickory; two brothers, Robert Haste and David Haste, both of Burlington; his best friend, Glenda Watkins; and several aunts, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington.

The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park.
