James "Jim" Graham Bonham, 56, went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 25, 2020. He was born in Bristol, TN., on July 2, 1964, to Robert Preston Bonham Jr. and Helen Farmer Bonham. He was married to Terri Miller Bonham, who survives.
Jim grew up in Charlotte and graduated from South Mecklenburg High School. He attended Appalachian State and graduated from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte. While in Charlotte, he worked for Belk Store Services, working his way up and serving in many managerial positions. He then moved to Greensboro to run the family Musical Instrument business with his wife Terri and successfully expanded into multiple locations as DJ’s Music of Danville, VA, Don’s Music City, Music City and currently Badaxe Boutique in Greensboro.
Jim was a man of strong faith and strong values. His family and his home meant everything to him. Jim had a vast knowledge of guitars and vintage autos and he enjoyed “talking shop” with others who had similar interests. He also enjoyed playing video games with his son. His love for his family, his sense of humor and his loyalty to his friends will be sorely missed.
He is survived by his wife Terri, his son James Graham Bonham Jr., his brother Robert Bonham and partner Kevin Scott, and cousins Anna Bonham-White, Virginia Bonham, Julia Adair and their families.
Due to COVID19, a private graveside service will be held for immediate family members only. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to AuthoraCare Collective or your favorite charity.
