James Thomas "Pete" Campbell

Mr. James Thomas “Pete” Campbell, 80, of Graham, passed away Friday, February 26, 2021 at his home in Ocean Isle.

A native of Chatham County, Mr. Campbell was the husband of Martha Huffman Campbell, who survives, and the son of the late Willie Campbell and the late Frances Johnson Campbell.

Mr. Campbell retired from P. Lorillard Tobacco Company and was of the Methodist Faith. He was also a veteran of the US Army.

In addition to his wife Martha, of the home, Mr. Campbell is survived by a daughter, Malisa Herring, and her husband, Alec, of Chapin, SC; two sons, Bradley Keith Campbell of Burlington and Michael Thomas Campbell of Graham; two grandchildren, Zachary Reese Herring and Bailee Sloan Herring; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

There will be a graveside service at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at Graham Memorial Park. Officiating will be the Rev. David Jackson.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to AuthoraCare Hospice, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215 or to Bethel Baptist Church, 238 Dixon Road, Graham, NC 27253.
