Jacklyn Hodge Harrison

Jacklyn Hodge Harrison, 85, of Burlington, born February 10, 1933, passed away Monday, September 2, 2019 after several years of declining health and a critical illness of one week.

She is survived by her loving husband and sweetheart of 65 years, Bobby Martin Harrison. “Jackie” was a strong and faithful woman that loved her family. She was surrounded by many wonderful friends throughout the years from her school days, neighborhood, bridge clubs, work as a teller at Wachovia Bank and member of Davis Street United Methodist Church.

“MeMe” will be remembered for her sense of humor, amazing prayers and her kind and loving ways stemming from a heart of love.

In addition to her husband Bobby, she is also survived by her daughter, Cindy H. Jordan; her son, Marty Harrison and his wife, Karen; her grandchildren, Stephanie Hinnant and her husband, Jeff, Bo Jordan and his wife, Bethany Ann, Michelle Merritt and her husband, James, Tyler Harrison and his wife, Amber, and Blake Harrison; her great-grandchildren, Olivia Hinnant, Emma Hinnant, Ivey Ann Jordan, Mary Charles Jordan, Chandler Merritt, Paisley Merritt and Coralee Harrison and her sister-in-law, Sandra C. Henning.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Louise Hodge; sister, Flora Ann Shepherd and her son-in-law, Freddie Jordan.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Davis Street United Methodist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Al Trotter. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the church, beginning at 1:00 PM prior to the service. Other times they will be at the home of the daughter, Cindy, 206 Travis Lane, Gibsonville, NC 27249.

The family would like to thank the staff at Alamance Regional Medical Center and the Hospice Home of Alamance-Caswell for the love and support given during this time.
