Jackie C. Feathers, Staff Sergeant (USAF, Ret.)

Jackie C. Feathers, Staff Sergeant (USAF, Ret.), 73, passed away at Alamance Regional Medical Center on September 3, 2019.

A native of Pontiac, Michigan, he was the loving husband of Tamala McVey Feathers and the son of the late Chester and Ellen Drake Feathers. He retired as a Staff Sergeant from the United States Air Force after 20 years of service to his country.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters, Carmen Kestner and her husband Donald, and Donna Scheppler and her husband Thomas; sons, Johnny Feathers and his wife Lisa, and Clarkie McVey and his wife Casey; grandchildren, Ashleigh Kestner, Trevor Kestner, Sarah Kestner, Jack Barrett, Zachary Barrett, Jacob Barrett, Emily Mai Youngman, Alex Youngman, Christina Wall, Carter McVey and Ciara McVey; and sister, Dorothy Hiethcoat.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Julian Buttram and granddaughter, Kimberly Wall.

His funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, September 6, 2019 in the Rich and Thompson Chapel in Burlington. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service. At other times they will be at the residence of his son, Johnny Feathers.
