Irene Carden

Irene Carden, 84, of Burlington passed away at the Hospice Home on Tuesday, March 2, 2021.

A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of the late Lacy Boyd Carden and the late Lillian Denny Carden. She retired from working in the textile industry and was a member of Baynes Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Patrice D. Parker of Burlington; sons, Kyle R. Durham of Graham and Barry K. Durham and his wife Frances of Graham; 9 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Durham Roaman and her 5 sisters and 2 brothers.

Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Graham with the Rev. Larry Redding officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 pm prior to the funeral service. Her committal service will be held at Baynes Baptist Church.
