Ingrid Hilsberg Davis, 90, passed away peacefully to be with the Lord Saturday November 10. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years Gene Davis and is survived by her sisters Trudy Sidlauskas and husband Bill, Renate Ingle and husband James, brother Dieter Hilsberg and wife Evi, son Marvin Davis and wife Debbie, daughter Monica and husband Ted Cheresnowsky, son Martin Davis and wife Karen, seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Ingrid was born in Berlin Germany and met her husband in Berlin in 1945. Ingrid and Gene married and settled in Burlington in 1947 where she lived until her passing. She retired from Western Electric/AT&T Technologies after over 3 decades of service. She and Gene enjoyed dancing with the Foot & Fiddle Square Dance club for many years. Her true passion was serving at Hocutt Memorial Baptist Church ministering with children.
The family will receive friends Thursday November 15 at 12:45pm at Rich & Thompson in Burlington and the Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2:00pm. Burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Life at Hocutt Children’s Ministry, 302 N.
