Hilda Gray Spoon

Ms. Hilda Gray Spoon, 84, of Graham, died Thursday, February 22, 2018 in Summerville, SC.

A native of Alamance County, Ms. Spoon was the daughter of the late Thomas Alfred Spoon and the late Pecola Evans Spoon.

Ms. Spoon was a retired hosiery employee and was a former member of Andrews Memorial Baptist Church.

Ms. Spoon is survived by three daughters, Daphyne Bennett of College Station, TX, Darlene Kelly of College Station, TX and Dorene Vogt and her husband Stephen, of Summerville, SC; one son, Harold Roy Bennett, Jr., of Beaufort, SC; 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Spoon was preceded in death by a sister, Wilda M. Spoon Gilley; four brothers, Raiford Spoon, Willis Spoon, Tommy Spoon and Robert Spoon.

The family will receive friends Monday, February 26, 2018 from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at Rich and Thompson Funeral Home and Crematory in Graham.

The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM in the Rich and Thompson Chapel. Officiating will be the Rev. Tommy Willis, assisted by the Rev. Brandon Rouse. Burial will be in Graham Memorial Park.
