Hilda Mae Pickell

Hilda Everitt Pickell, 92, of 313 Sunset Drive, Elon passed away at 8:57 pm on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at her residence.

A native of Uniontown, NJ, she was the wife of Theodore P. “Ted” Pickell, Sr. and the daughter of the late Clark Elbert Everitt and the late Fannie Engler Everitt. Hilda worked in the catalog department of Sears for many years and for the Alamance-Burlington Airport in the 1960’s as a bookkeeper.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter; Sandra Ann Taylor of Burlington; one son, Ted Pickell, Jr. and his wife Glad of West Jefferson, NC; and two grandchildren, Ben Pickell and his wife Megan of Brown Summit, NC and Casey Pickell of Washington, DC.

A crypt side service at will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 14, 2018 at the Alamance Memorial Park Mausoleum.

The family will receive friends in the Mausoleum one hour prior to the service and at other times at the residence, 313 Sunset Drive, Elon, NC 27244.

The family is very grateful to the Hospice nurses and caregivers for the loving care and support shown to Hilda during her illness.
