Hazel Lee Thompson

Mrs. Hazel Lee Johnson Thompson, 92, of the Salem United Methodist Church Community, Haw River passed away at the Hospice Home on Thursday evening, April 19, 2018.

A native of Wake County, she was the wife of the late J. C. Thompson, Jr. and the daughter of William Ernest Johnson and Lyddia Riddle Johnson, both deceased. She retired from I.B.M. and was a member of Salem United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two nieces, Barbara Henderson Doss (Robert) of Reidsville and Louise Henderson Flanigan (Mike, deceased) of Graham and four nephews, Gene Dismuke (Theresa) of Cary, Charles Dismuke (Deborah) of Cary, Ray Johnson (Sarah) of Elon and Michael Johnson of Richmond, VA. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Lee Thompson; a son, Wayne Allen Thompson; two brothers, J. T. Johnson and William Johnson and two sisters, Annie Belle Henderson and Margaret Dismuke.

The funeral service will be conducted at Salem United Methodist Church on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. by Rev. Cindy Lister with the family receiving friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery.
