Mr. Harold E. Robertson, 90, of Burlington, passed away at his residence on Saturday, November 10, 2018, one day prior to his 91st Birthday.
A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of 66 years to Mildred Scott Robertson, and son of the late Willie B. Robertson and Swannie Isley Robertson. He was retired from Branch Motor Express and a veteran of the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Harold was a lifetime member of St. Mark’s Church where he was instrumental in starting the St. Mark’s Church Youth Athletics program and coached for many years.
Surviving, other than his wife of the home, are a son, Scott Robertson & wife Joy of Burlington; three grandchildren, Brandon Robertson of Greenville, NC, Bronson Robertson of Richmond, VA and Gregory Moore of Burlington; two sisters, Betty R. Murray and Norma R. Smith; brother-in-law, Elton M. Vaughn; and sister-in-law, Becky S. Robertson.
Harold was preceded in death by siblings, Helen R. Stewart & Winfred “Buck” Stewart, Hortense R. White & James A. White, William “Bill” Robertson & Xenia B. Robertson, Mary R. Vaughn & James “Jim” Robertson; and two brothers-in-law, Homer B. Murray and Banks Smith.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Monday, November 12, at St. Mark’s Church with Rev. Ben Bishop officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 to 11:50 AM, prior to the service at the Church and other times at the residence.
