Grover "Junior" Hopkins, Jr.

Mr. Grover Lewis “Junior” Hopkins, Jr., 80, of Burlington passed away at Alamance Regional Medical Center on Thursday, June 18, 2020.

A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of the late Betty Ruth Kirkpatrick Hopkins and the son of Grover Lewis Hopkins, Sr. and Dessie Morene Hopkins, both deceased. He retired from Trails End Apartments in maintenance and was a member of Harvest Baptist Church.

Survivors include his sister, Grace Rhodes of Burlington; three brothers, Mark Hopkins and wife Vivian of Burlington, Davie Hopkins and wife Brenda of Elon and Bennie Hopkins and wife Susan of Burlington; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Delinda Duckworth and brother, Martin Hopkins.

The family will receive friends on Monday, June 22, 2020 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Rich & Thompson Funeral Home in Burlington.

The funeral service will be held in the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at 2:00 pm. The service can be viewed in it's entirety beginning at 3:30 PM.  Burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park.
