Grady Avery Caviness

Mr. Grady Avery Caviness, 95, of Burlington, passed away at his residence on Saturday, September 18, 2021. A native of Randolph County, he was the husband of Edith Ayscue Caviness, who survives, and son of the late John Avery Caviness and Sadie Martha Asbill Caviness. Mr. Caviness was a retired textile employee and a member of Antioch Christian Church.

Surviving, other than his wife of the home are three sisters, Margie Kiser, Elizabeth Shepley and Pattie Welch. Mr. Caviness was preceded in death by five brothers, Glenn R. Caviness, Floyd Q. Caviness, Jack L. Caviness, Joe E. Caviness and Norman R. Caviness; and two sisters, Myrtle L. Love and Stella Kiser.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, September 23, at Alamance Memorial Park.

The family will greet friends at Rich & Thompson Funeral Service in Burlington from 12:30 – 1:30 Thursday, prior to the service.
