Grace Turnage White

Grace Turnage White, 94, of Burlington passed away at her residence on Wednesday, April 28, 2021. 
She was ready to go rest in the arms of her Lord after a long battle with cancer.

A native of LaGrange, NC, she was the wife of the late John Milton White and the daughter of John Harvey Turnage and Lena Mae Wiggins Turnage, both deceased. She was a member of Westminster United Methodist Church and was a former secretary for The Lions Club of Kinston. She retired from Caswell Center after working for the State of NC for 25 years. 

She was a loving mother to her daughter, Phyllis Countryman and devoted grandmother to her four grandchildren, John Countryman, Christopher Hopkins (Olivia), Caroline Countryman (Joshua Masters), and Michael Countryman. She was preceded in death by a sister, Betsy H. Rouse. Grace cared deeply for her family and friends and will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. 

The funeral service will be conducted at St. Mark’s Church on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. by Pastor Ben Bishop. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. at Pine Lawn Memorial Park in Kinston, NC.
