Grace Elizabeth Hedgepeth

Miss Grace Elizabeth Hedgepeth, 89, of Burlington passed away at The Homeplace of Burlington on Thursday, November 22, 2018 at 8:00 a.m.

Born in Burlington on September 30, 1929, she was the only child of Archie Webb Hedgepeth and Leona McIntyre Hedgepeth both deceased. She grew up in the town of Elon where she attended Elon High School graduating in 1949. She is remembered for her love of dramatics and her quick wit.

Grace returned to Burlington in 1951 where she worked for AT&T/Lucent Technologies retiring after over forty years of service. She was a lifetime member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. She was also active in volunteer work with the Hospice Flea Market and with the Good Samaritan Thrift Store.

There are no immediate survivors.

A funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery.
