Gerald David Yount, 79, of Gibsonville passed away at AuthoraCare Hospice Home on Tuesday, November 16, 2021.
A native of Cherryville, NC, he was the husband of Jane Wilson Yount, who survives and the son of Garland Tate Yount and Helen Sigmon Yount, both deceased. He was a former Elementary School Principal and a member of the First Baptist Church of Elon.
In addition to his wife of their home, survivors include a daughter, Julie Nicole Yount Brown and husband Terry Brown of Massachusetts; son, Jake Wilson Yount and wife Vanessa Mills Yount of Mebane; and five grandchildren, Elizabeth Brown, Lydia Brown, Jonathan Brown, Claira Yount, and Tate Yount.
A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
