George Leslie "G.L." Pritchard, Jr.

George Leslie “G.L.” Pritchard, Jr., 82, of Graham passed away at his residence on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 2:38 a.m.
A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of 55 years to JoAnn Aydt Pritchard, who survives and the son of George Leslie Pritchard, Sr. and Mildred Via Pritchard, both deceased. He was a 1954 graduate of Graham High School, a four year veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He retired after 30+ years of service from AT&T as an Assistant Program Analyst.
In addition to his wife of the home, survivors include two daughters, Denise Helmer of Greensboro and Michele Moon of Burlington; son, Jason Pritchard and wife Renee of Burlington; sister, Shirley Burke of Whitsett; four grandchildren, Leslie Meacham, Ashley Meacham, Justin Moon and wife Vicki and Kendra Pritchard; and one great-grandson, Tyler.
G.L. loved his second home at Myrtle Beach, SC, spending much of his time surf fishing, collecting shark’s teeth/seashells. He was an avid collector and enjoyed the latest and greatest gadgets. He also loved a good “Buy One,Get One”sale.
A memorial service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Graham on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. by Rev. Don Pegg with the family receiving friends immediately following the service.
