Frederick Skiffington

Frederick C. Skiffington, 78, of Snow Camp passed away peacefully at his residence on Monday, November 28, 2022.

A native of Adams, MA, he was the husband of the late Ruth Ann Duquette Skiffington and the son of William Skiffington and Dorothy York Skiffington, both deceased. He was a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corp serving from 1961 to 1966 and was an active member of the Marine Corp League where he served as Sergeant of Arms. He was also a member of the honor guard. Frederick retired from General Electric and was a Toys for Tots volunteer. He was a sports enthusiast and loved the New York Yankees and New York Giants.

Survivors include his children, Nancy Floyd and husband Chris of Snow Camp, Anthony Skiffington and fiance Heather of Plattsburgh, NY, and Vincent Skiffington and wife Katrina of Tucson, AZ; nine grandchildren, Jaime White and husband Kenny, Brian Skiffington and wife Katelyn, Cameron Skiffington and wife Kate, Trejan Skiffington, Lauren Skiffington, Anthony Skiffington, Jr., Alexis Skiffington, Nathaniel Skiffington and Myranda Thomson; two great grandchildren, Oliver Flagg and Connor Skiffington; and a brother, William Skiffington of Indiahoma, OK. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Skiffington and sister, Barbara Dowling.

The family sends a heartfelt appreciation to Janet Barnes for her love and compassion in the care she gave to Fred.

A Celebration of Life with military honors will be conducted at the home of his daughter, Nancy Floyd, (336-684-9826) on Saturday, December 3, 2022 beginning at 12:00 noon.
