Mrs. Frances T. Sharpe, 79, formerly of Lacy Street in Burlington, passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at the Hospice Home of Burlington.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Rex O. Sharpe, Sr. and the daughter of Floyd Jack Turner and Alice Barts Turner, both deceased. She was a homemaker and loved to cook and take care of her grandchildren.
Survivors include her two children, Rex O. Sharpe, Jr. and wife Eve of Mebane and Belinda Sharpe of Haw River; four grandchildren, Laura Boswell and husband Cory of Mebane, Kyle Sharpe of Graham, Greg Sharpe of Mebane, and Bruce Murray of Burlington; six great grandchildren, Skilar Murray, Belinda Murray, Lori Murray, Reagan Sharpe, Ella Sharpe, and Easton Boswell; two brothers, Frank Turner and wife Faye of Haw River and Wayne Turner of Burlington; and two sisters, Myrtle Pennington of Burlington and Enzer Perry and husband Bill of Haw River.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack Turner and Paul Turner and one sister, Linda Taylor.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at the Rich and Thompson Chapel in Burlington with Rev. R.J. Zupancich officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1:30 to 2:45 PM prior to the service at Rich and Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington and at other times will be at the residence of her son, Rex O. Sharpe, Jr.
