Floyd "Wallace" Jones

Floyd "Wallace" Jones, 79, passed away November 10, 2018 at 3:00 a.m. following several years of declining health. He was the son of David Earl Jones and Eula Johnson Jones, both deceased.

Wallace retired from the University of North Carolina Computation Center after 31 years. He was a life member of Mount Olive Baptist Church. He enjoyed rabbit hunting with his beagles and spending time with family and friends.

Wallace will be missed greatly by his devoted wife of 49 years, Linda Deese Greeson Jones; sons, Jarrett D. Jones (Michelle) of Archdale, and R. Ken Greeson (Ericka) of Ocean View, Delaware, and D. J. Greeson (Jennifer) of Raleigh; sister, Brenda Goodpasture (Glenn) of Fredericksburg, VA; brother, Charles Jones (Mary) of Supply, NC; grandchildren, Noah Jones of Archdale, Aaron Jones of Burlington, Andrew Greeson of Alexandria, VA, Adrienne Greeson Montgomery (Dan) of Falls Church, VA, Caroline and Jillian Greeson of Fairfax, VA, and Jonathon and Matthew Greeson of Raleigh.

He was preceded in death by his brother, H. Curtis Jones and wife, Mary Alice Neal Jones.

The funeral service will be held on November 14, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Mount Olive Baptist Church. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:45 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. prior to service. Other times the family will be at the residence.
