Mrs Florence Burns Wilkins

Mrs. Florence Burns Wilkins, 92, of Burlington, died on Monday, July 24, 2017 at the Hospice Home in Burlington.

A native of Granville County, she was the wife of the late Robert O. Wilkins and was the daughter of Lester H. Davis and Cornelia Cozart Davis, both deceased. She retired from H.E. Wilson Industries and was a member of Burlington Assembly of God.

Survivors include her daughter, Lynn (Barry) Durham; her sister, Alene Pulliam; five grandchildren, Keith Rudd (Sherry), Crystal Stines, Everly Evans (Joe), Eric Burns (Jenny) and Anne Marie Burns; and eleven great grandchildren, Karlee Rudd, Aaron McDaniel, Johnathon Rudd, Lily Rudd, Hunter Boggs, Kelsey Stines, Braiden Stines, Jacob and Dakota, Jordyn Evans and Eliza Burns.. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard T. Burns; two sons, Richard E. Burns and William L. Burns; four sisters, Merritt Wilkins, Delma Compton, Frances Munday, and Daphne Gravely; and one brother, Hassell Davis.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at Burlington Assembly of God with Rev. Howard Thompson officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church and at other times will be at the residence.
