July 27, 1931 ~ March 27, 2020 (age 88) 88 Years Old

Obituary

Mrs. Evelyn Louise Robertson Weaver, 88, of Burlington, formerly of Whitney Rd., Graham, entered heaven in the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, March 27, 2020. She passed away peacefully at Authora Care Hospice Home in Burlington.

A native of Person County, NC, she was the wife of the late Earl Lee Weaver, and the daughter of the late Monroe Robertson and Zula Morris Robertson. She was an active member of Hico Baptist Church as long as she was physically able where she sang in the choir. She also attended Burlington Assembly of God.

Mrs. Weaver loved Jesus with all her heart and lived her life with a strong faith and prayer life. She loved everyone she met and if you were blessed to know her, you were given a hug and knew you were loved. She had the heart of Jesus and our world was a better place because of her. Our Lord wrote her final chapter and heaven is sweeter with her home. She left behind a legacy not of riches but of unconditional love that only comes by having a personal relationship with Jesus.

Prior to her career in textiles, she was a homemaker and also farmed with her late husband. She was a loyal and faithful employee, receiving various awards throughout her career. She enjoyed flowers and gardening, and her greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and church family. She was a wonderful cook and best known at Christmas for her homemade German Chocolate Cake, Fresh Coconut Cake, Fried Apple Pies, and Homemade Soup. She was also known for her homemade biscuits.

Surviving are three daughters, Debra “Debby” Stainback (Ken), Phyllis Holsonback (Eric), all of Burlington, and Evelyn Williams (Jeff) of Graham; a son, Thomas Weaver (Amy) of Burlington; seven grandchildren, Josh Stainback, Kimberly Stainback Moore (Tripp), Cameron Stainback-Michael (Brian), Daniel Thompson (Lindsey), Morgan Williams-Warren (Josh), Adam Weaver (Elizabeth), and Cole Weaver; four great grandchildren, Shae and Allie Moore, and Jett and Ridge Thompson. She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Weaver was preceded in death by her late husband and a son, Clinton Weaver. She was the sole survivor of 15 children, and had eight brothers and six sisters, all of whom predeceased her.

A private funeral will be held for her immediate family, and a celebration of her life will be held at a future date. A private burial will be at Alamance Memorial Park. To show your love and respect, friends and family are welcome to stop by Rich & Thompson Funeral Home in Burlington on Monday, March 30, between the hours of 2:00 and 5:00 pm.
