Emma R. King

Emma R. King of Burlington, passed away at her son’s residence on Friday, September 20, 2019.

A native of Guilford County, she was the wife of the late Floyd Scott King, Sr. and the daughter of the late Sam Wesley Robertson and the late Josie May Ashby Robertson. She was a retired beautician formerly working at Layne’s Beauty Shop and also Kayser Roth. She was a member of Faith Bible Chapel, the Senior Citizen Group of Graham and Gold’s Gym.

Emma is survived by her daughter, Deborah King Fuller; son, Floyd Scott King, Jr. and his wife Trish; grandchildren, Erica Palumbo and husband Giovanni, Logan Scott King and fiancée Kasey Barnette, Iain Prescott King and wife Andi and Wendy Michelle Reed; and great-grandchildren, Salvatore Palumbo, Maddalena Palumbo, Miller King, Marley King, Masen King and Olivia Windsor.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at Lighthouse Bible Church. Entombment will follow at the Alamance Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service.

The family would like to invite everyone that would like to attend to return to the Lighthouse Bible Church following the funeral and committal service at the cemetery for a meal and fellowship.
