Mr. Elvin Howard Hodgin, 84, of Graham passed away at Alamance Regional Medical Center on Sunday, September 2, 2018 at 6:00 p.m.
A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Sylvia Jean Hodgin, who survives and the son of Slocum Hodgin and Lillian Freeze Hodgin, both deceased. Mr. Hodgin was a veteran of the U. S. Navy serving during the Korean War and retired from AT&T. He was a member of Andrews Memorial Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife of the home, survivors include two sons, Steve Hodgin of Burlington and Jeff Hodgin and wife Tracy of Gibsonville; daughter, Sherry Cheek and fiancé Rich O’Ferrell of Burlington; and three grandchildren, Tanner Cheek and wife Mattie of Portland, OR, Shannon Cheek of Burlington and Noah Hodgin of Gibsonville.
The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Graham on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. by Rev. Brandon Rouse with the family receiving friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park.
