Elizabeth Freeman Bobbitt Woody, 100, formerly of Burlington died at Peak Resources-Alamance on Monday, May 15, 2017 at 5:45 p.m.
A native of Vance County, she was the wife of the late Louis Ernest Woody and the daughter of William Clarence Bobbitt and Floy Freeman Bobbitt, both deceased. Mrs. Woody retired from Belks and was a member of Hocutt Memorial Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Warren Woody and wife Brenda of Greer, SC; two daughters, Linda W. Canada and husband Larry and Janice W. Myers and husband Johnny, all of Burlington; seven grandchildren, Nathan Woody and wife Rebecca, Kim Golter and husband Brian, Dana Harley and husband Tom, Lee Canada and wife Michelle, Chris Canada, Stephanie Graham and husband Mark and Joshua Myers and wife Dakota; and nine great-grandchildren, Lowman Harley, Lukus Harley, Nicolas Woody, Jacob Woody, Taylor Davis, Noah Davis, Bryce Canada, Kaylin Canada and Vada Myers.
Mrs. Woody was preceded in death by three sisters, Naomi Woodlief, Mary King and Ruth Teague and brother, William C. Bobbitt, Jr.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Thursday, May 18th at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30-1:45 pm. Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park.
