Mrs. Anne Goodman Gatlin

Anne Goodman Gatlin, 80, died peacefully at her home on Zwingli Ct. at Twin Lakes Community on October 1, 2017 surrounded by her family. She was the wife of James Edward Gatlin, deceased, and the daughter of Harrison and Eula Henry Goodman, both deceased.

Anne was married for 55 years to Jim whom she met when they attended Walter Williams High School. They lived in Burlington throughout their lives, and enjoyed having their children and their families close by. They were blessed with wonderful neighbors, as well as lifelong friends in the area. Anne was a vibrant presence and always the heart of the family. Her positive outlook and quick sense of humor endeared her to everyone. Her home was the daily gathering place for her children and grandchildren, and was always filled with laughter.

She is survived by her four children, Gaye Sartin (Randy), Gwyn Pearce (Scott), Amy Chandler
(Bob), and her treasured son, Jim Gatlin; her grandchildren, Ben and Ellie Sartin, Kayleigh, Lexi and Julianna Pearce, Maddie and Gatlin Chandler; her great granddaughter Hayden Sartin; her loving sisters and best friends, Ellen Goodman (John Rudd), and Susan Reagan (James).

The family will receive friends at Rich and Thompson Funeral & Cremation Service in Burlington on Wednesday, October 4 from 6:00-8:00 pm. There will be a memorial service at Rich and Thompson on Thursday, October 5 at 3:00 pm with Rev. Marshall Old officiating.

The Gatlin family would like to express their deep gratitude to all the wonderful caregivers for their loving care and support, and the staff at Hospice and Palliative Care. Mrs. Gatlin requested that memorials be made to Ralph Scott Life Services at 408 W. Trade St., Burlington, NC 27217.
