Eleanor Barnwell Kirkpatrick

Mrs. Eleanor Barnwell Kirkpatrick, 95, died Saturday, March 17, 2018. She was the widow of Bill Kirkpatrick and the daughter of the late Robert W. Barnwell, Sr. and Willard Smith Barnwell. 

She is survived by her children, W. Stephen Kirkpatrick and wife, Jayne of Oxford, and Jean Kirkpatrick; siblings, J. Forrest “Pete” Barnwell and wife, Lana of Raleigh, and Bette Cooler of Charlotte; grandchildren, Stephanie Kirkpatrick and husband, Cameron Conover of Greensboro, and Billy Kirkpatrick of Snow Camp; and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by brothers, R.W., Holt, Joe and Dick Barnwell.

The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Graham on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. by Rev. Christi Dye.  

The family is most grateful to Doris Coleman, Elizabeth, Victoria and the staff for their loving care of Eleanor during her eight years of residence at Eno Pointe Assisted Living.  The family also expresses its most sincere thanks to Duke Regional Hospital and the staff of Carver Living Center in Durham.
