Douglas Eugene Day

Douglas Eugene Day, 75, of Mebane, died suddenly Monday, March 5, 2018 at his home after a lengthy illness.

A native of Beckley, WV, Mr. Day was the husband of Glenda Newton Day and the son of the late Dewey R. Day and the late Kathleen White Day.

Mr. Day was a retired truck driver and a member of Nall Memorial Baptist Church. He was also a member of the American Legion.

In addition to his wife, Glenda, of the home, Mr. Day is survived by a daughter, Wendy Carol Day, of the home; a sister, Katy Pennington of Daniels, WV; a brother, Pat Day of Oak Hill, WV and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

Mr. Day was preceded in death by seven sisters, Ruth Grubb, Arvada Ashworth, Millie Radde, Frannie Maiden, Betty Seelinger, Christine Little and Collen Irving, and one brother, D.R. Day

The family will receive friends Saturday, March 10, 2018, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Rich and Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington.
