Mrs. Dorothy Bradsher “Dottie” Hart, of North 9th Street, Mebane, lost her battle with cancer on June 18, 2018.
Mrs. Hart was born on May 18, 1940 in Person County, NC. She was the wife of the late James W. Hart and the daughter of Arthur D. Bradsher and Myrtle Briggs Bradsher, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Michael Bradsher.
Mrs. Hart was a retired registered nurse with Alamance Regional Medical Center. She attended Graham Presbyterian Church where she was a member of Circle 6 and enjoyed traveling with the Funsters Group. In her retirement, she was an avid reader and enjoyed road trips and sea glass hunting with her grandchildren.
Survivors include two daughters, Terri Hart Andrews and (John) of Graham and Traci Hart of Burlington; three sons, James “Jay” Hart (Ellen) of Wilmington, Jeremy Hart (Darlene) of Burlington and Josh Hart (Kasey) of Seattle, WA; six grandchildren, Kristen Wilson (John), Kyle Hart (Thais), Johanna Barnhill (Brian), Jared Pearce, Ali Woods and Abby Andrews; and a brother, Larry Bradsher of Mebane.
The funeral service will be conducted at Graham Presbyterian Church on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. by Rev. Steve Braswell with the family receiving friends from 10 until 11 a.m. prior to the service in the church parlor. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Mebane, NC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Patricia Bynum Fund, C/O Alamance Regional Foundation, P.O. Box 202, Burlington, NC 27216 or to Graham Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 1089, Graham, NC 27253.
