Mrs. Dorothy T. Scoggins Chambers

Mrs. Dorothy T. Scoggins Chambers, 85, of Burlington passed away at Liberty Commons on Friday, April 6, 2018 at 4:42 am.

A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Benjamin Chambers and daughter of Larkin and Johnsie Teague both deceased. She was retired from IBM.

Survivors include a daughter, Carla Best (John) of Elon and two sons, Neil Scoggins (Marie) of Haw River and David Scoggins (Forrest) of Morehead City NC. She is also survived by six grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren and two sisters, Faye Caynor of Mebane and Anne Warren of Fayetteville, NC.

The family will receive friends at Rich & Thompson Funeral Home and Crematory in Graham on Sunday, April 8, 2018 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM, followed by a graveside service at 3:00 PM at Linwood Cemetery by the Rev. Norman M. Whitney, Sr. At other times the family will be at the residence.
