Mrs. Doris E. Hart

Mrs. Doris E. Hart, 96, of Graham, died on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at the Hospice Home of Burlington.

A native of Hudson County, New Jersey, she was the wife of the late M. Clayton Hart, and the daughter of Edward Travers and Anna Keefer Travers, both deceased. She retired from Grumman Aircraft Engineering Corporation. She was a member of Bellemont United Methodist Church where she was named the Layperson of the year. Mrs. Hart was a lifetime member of the United Methodist Women, a former member of the Home Extension Club of Graham, and was involved with Meals on Wheels.

Survivors include her two children, Nancy H. Holt and husband Larry of Graham and Clayton Hart and wife Nancy of Inverness, Florida; four grandchildren, Susan Hart Conforti, Clayton Hart IV, Jennifer Holt, and Leslee H. Gillespie; and six great grandchildren; Nicholas, Anthony, Giana, Julianne, Anderson, and Annalise.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Carol Bullard and her brother, Edward Travers.

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Bellemont United Methodist Church with Rev. Farron Duncan officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5:45- 6:45 PM prior to the service in the fellowship hall at Bellemont United Methodist Church and at other times will be at the residence of her daughter, Nancy.
