Donald Lynn Murray

Donald Lynn Murray, 74, of Graham went home to be with his heavenly father on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 with his loving family by his side.

A native of Alamance County, he was born April 11, 1947 to the late Charlie Murray and Ethel Murray, who survives.

Donald retired from the Alamance County Sheriff’s Department and was a member of Lamb’s Chapel Church.

Survivors include his high school sweetheart and wife of 55 years, Deborah J. Murray of their home. Their two wonderful children, Tina Enz and husband Chuck, Jeff Murray and wife Carla; three grandchildren, Justin Morris and wife Lauren, Owen Murray, Cole Murray; two step-grandchildren, Ethan Enz and wife Emily, Alston Enz and wife Sally; brother, Howard Murray; sister, Barbara Wall and husband Monte and a brother in law, Tony Steagall.

Donald was preceded in death by his sister in law, Penny Steagall.

The funeral service will be held at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Graham on Friday, January 14, 2022 at 2:00 pm with his grandson, Justin Morris officiating. Mr. Murray will be available for viewing from 9:30 am until 1:45 pm on Friday prior to the service. The family will have a private burial.
