Donald Ray Lee

Donald Ray Lee, 86, of Graham, went to be with his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 while at the AuthoraCare Hospice Home in Burlington.

A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of the late Dorothy Bayliff Lee, and the son of Samuel Wesley Lee and Maude Guthrie Lee Anthony, both deceased.

Donald was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Graham. He was a volunteer fireman with Swepsonville Fire Department for 39 years. He worked at Isley Grocery, Plaid Mill for Burlington Industries and retired from Bayliff’s Radiator and Motor Service in Graham.

Mr. Lee is survived by a son, Donald Keith Lee and his wife Rhonda, of Mebane; a daughter, Katherine Lee Craven Snodgrass and her husband, Dane, of High Point; a sister, Carolyn Lee Stewart; his grandchildren, James Daniel Lee, Payne Michael Craven, Chad Snodgrass and Ian Snodgrass; sister in law, Irma Lee Jones.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Norma Grey Lee Andrews and her husband Henry C. “Bobby” Andrews and five brothers, Garland Edmund “Billy” Lee and his wife Frances Ketner Lee, Walter Wayne Lee and his wife Lena Jones Lee, Delma Eugene Lee and his wife Verna Lee, Samuel Jackson Lee and Thomas Elmer Lee; and a brother in law, Sam Stewart.

A service to celebrate his life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 25, 2021 in the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Graham Rev. Claire Clyburn will officiate. The family will have a graveside service on Monday, July 26, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. at Graham Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral Home in Graham from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, prior to the service. Due to health concerns, the family has decided to not receive friends at the residence.
