Dolores Grazian

Dolores Grazian, nee Arndt, passed away peacefully January 3, 2023 in Burlington, North Carolina surrounded by members of her family.

Dolores was born September 15, 1933 in Michigan City, Indiana and became a nurse at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago. She married Judge Leonard Grazian and became a loving mother to eight children: Jan Busche (m. Jim), Laurie Feest (m. Gordon), Gail Egbeyemi (m. Lanre), Robert Grazian (m. Julie), John Grazian (m. Cynthia), Rachel Ross (m. Bill), Lawrence Grazian and Victor Grazian. Dolores raised her family with abundant love, energy, and compassion. A longtime resident of Morton Grove, Il, she served on local school, police, and fire boards all while nurturing and caring for her 8 children. After guiding her children into adulthood, she retired to Charleston, South Carolina with her husband where she enjoyed her hobbies (an avid gardener, reader and baker), and helped to care for some of her many grandchildren. She eventually settled in Burlington, North Carolina and was cared for in her later years by her daughter Rachel, son-in-law Bill and their two children Alexandra and Rebecca. Dolores is survived by her 8 children, 12 grandchildren (Sara, Mathew, Elizabeth, Natalie, Daniel, Leonard, William, Isabel, Ariane, Sophia, Alexandra and Rebecca), one great-grandchild (Easton) and her dog Daisy who will all miss her greatly.

Dolores will be laid to rest alongside her husband Leonard in a private ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery.
