Mr. Dewitt Talmage Loy, 94, of Burlington passed away at Alamance Regional Medical Center on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at 5:24 a.m.
A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of the late Doris Warren Loy and the son of Robert Earl Loy, Sr. and Ida Holt Loy, both deceased. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving during World War II as a Corporal. Mr. Loy retired from Crumpton and Knowles as a machinist. He was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church and a musician for the Visionaires Quartet.
Survivors include four siblings, Warren Harding Loy, Robert Earl Loy, Jr., Wade Columbus Loy and wife Millie and Elizabeth Loy Combs and husband John, all of Burlington and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three siblings, Robert Edward Loy, James Harold Loy and Donald Alexander Loy.
The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington on Saturday, June 30, 2018 from 6 until 8 p.m.
The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. by Pastor Steve Loy.
