Mrs. Debra Ann Burmeister Farley, 63, of Graham passed away at Signature Health of Chapel Hill on Sunday, May 5, 2019.
A native of Muskegon, MI, she was the wife of the late Timothy Farley and the daughter of Lester Burmeister and Helen Dorothy Shull Burmeister, both deceased. Mrs. Farley was a veteran of the U. S. Army. She served in key positions as an Information Technology Specialist, Configuration Management Branch Chief and Test Director in the Field Services Division of Human Resources Command, Fort Knox, Kentucky. During her twelve-year career of Federal Civilian Service (May 2000 – May 2012), she was an outstanding leader, innovator and contributor to the transformation of the Army’s Human Resource System.
Survivors include her daughter, Lauran Quakenbush; two grandchildren, Lindsay Leigh Quakenbush and Memphis Liam Quakenbush; and two brothers, Dennis Burmeister and Thomas Burmeister.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 18, 2019 from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. at the Rich & Thompson Funeral Home and Crematory in Graham.
