Darlene Gladson Collins

Darlene Gladson Collins, 82, of Graham went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at 2:14 p.m.

A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Walter Wayne Collins and the daughter of Marvin Gladson and Cornia Glosson Gladson, both deceased. For most of her life, she worked at Kayser-Roth, and retired from UNC Chapel Hill. Darlene was a member of Cornerstone Community Church where she was an active member of the Young at Heart and Women in Missions groups.

Survivors include two daughters, Teresa Collins Kidd and husband Darrell of Graham and Wendy Collins Mann and husband Joel of Graham; four grandchildren, Shane Kidd (Nickie), Mindy Kidd Free (Josh), Kelly Kidd (April), and Stephanie Mann Forsyth (Christopher); and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Elaine Greeson.

The funeral service will be conducted at Cornerstone Community Church on Sunday, April 18, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. by Pastor Daniel Thames with the family receiving friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service.  Burial will follow in Moore’s Chapel Cemetery.
