Connie Roney Boswell

Connie Roney Boswell, 76, of Burlington passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2020 at Alamance Regional Medical Center.

A native of Alamance county, she was the daughter of the late Paul Boone Roney and Carleen Tickle Roney. She was the devoted wife of Johnny Boswell for 58 years, and the loving mother to her children Robin Boswell and Rick Boswell.

Connie worked as a Customer Service Manager at Indalex for 23 years. After her retirement she began working at South Court Drug in Graham, and was a friendly face there for many years in customer service. She was an active, lifelong member of Carolina Christian Church, where she served as a Sunday school teacher, Church secretary, and member of the handbell choir. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary with Faucette Fire Department. Anyone who knew Connie knew that she was a great cook, and she shared that gift with many throughout her life. Along with cooking, she made beautiful cakes, and gifted them to many friends and family to celebrate their special occasion.

Connie loved being at the lake with her family, and cherished her time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed spending time with lifelong friends that meant so much to her.

In addition to her husband Johnny of the home, she is survived by her son; Rick Boswell and his wife Holly of Holly Springs, NC, four grandchildren; Christine Wells, Reed Boswell, Anna Boswell, and Sam Boswell, two great-grandchildren, Aubrey and Cameron Wells, one brother; Mickey Roney and his wife Faye of Burlington, and several loving cousins.

She was preceded in death by her daughter; Robin Boswell and one sister; Barbara “Bobbie” Roney Kelley.

The funeral service will be held at Carolina Christian Church on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Mark Mitchell. Family and friends are welcome to come by the church starting at 12 noon on Wednesday if they would like to pay their respects to Mrs. Boswell. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
