Cody Shane Willetts

Cody Shane Willetts, 28, of Laurel Springs, NC died at his residence on Sunday, June 11, 2023.

Born in Orange County and raised in Burlington, NC, Cody was the son of Mark Kelly Willets and Rhonda Lynne Willets, who survive. He was employed with Vannoy Construction in Jefferson, NC. Cody loved being outdoors hunting, fishing, riding four wheelers and most of all spending time with his canine companion, Nyla. He also liked to just hang out and play video games. He will truly be missed by all who loved him.

In addition to his father of their home and mother of Burlington, survivors include a sister, Jessica Nicole Davis and her son, Landon Wade Tyler of Burlington; maternal grandmother, Carolyn N. Elgin; paternal grandmother, Delores “Dee” Willets; uncles, Matthew Willets and Clinton Willets and his son, Jonathan; aunt, Sandra Johnson and husband Scott their son, Christian; and aunt, Suzanne Murphy and her daughters Somer Stanfield and Gabrielle “Gabie” Stanfield. He was preceded in death by a maternal grandfather, Richard Murphy and paternal grandfather, Don Willets.

A memorial service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Graham on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. by Rev. Brian Rainbow with the family receiving friends from 1:45 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service.
