Charles Brandon Parnell

Mr. Charles “Brandon” Parnell, 38, of 1636 Boone Rd., Elon, NC (Caswell County), passed away Friday, April 13, 2018.

Brandon was born in Winston Salem, NC on December 18, 1979. He was the son of David Hampton Parnell and Brenda Norman Parnell.

He graduated from Gospel Light Christian School in 1999 and was a graduate of both Guilford Tech and Forsyth Tech. Brandon had also obtained his private pilot’s license.

Brandon was a Field Service Engineer with Dominion Air and Machinery. He was a loving and supportive son, husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. Brandon loved cheering on the Wolfpack at NC State football games, playing golf, skiing, and anything to do with the outdoors.

Surviving are his mother, Brenda Norman Parnell; wife, Ashley Smith Parnell; son, Chase Brandon Parnell (9); daughter, Addyson Renee Parnell (6); sister, Wendy Bayne; mother and father-in-law, Gary and Margie Smith; brothers and sisters-in-law, Constance Smith, Roger Bayne, Kevin Smith, and Mitzi Smith; nieces and nephews, Jeremey (Sam), Adam (Ariel), Jessie (Glen), Jake (Karli), and Kaden; great niece, Emerson; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, David Hampton Parnell and brother-in-law, Dwayne Smith.

A visitation will be held 6 – 8 p.m. on Monday, April 16, 2018 at Rich & Thompson Funeral Home, Burlington. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at Union Ridge Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
