Charles Grant Oakley Sr

Charles Grant Oakley, Sr., 81, of Alamance County, passed on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at the Hospice Home of Alamance – Caswell.

Grant was born to Charles Henry Oakley and Annon Louise Hanford Oakley. He graduated from Walter Williams High School in 1955 and later received a Business Degree from Elon College. His professions included Management/Supervisor positions in retail, as well as various sales occupations. His passions were spending time with his family and friends, along with music, dancing and classic cars.

Grant was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Betty Nance and his grandson, Jonathan White.

He is survived by his children, Chad Oakley and wife Susan, Dana Peters and husband Randy, and Jami Belcher and husband Richard; grandchildren, Nicole, Jacki and husband Derek, Eric, Kayla, Hayden, Chandler and Britton, along with cousins, nieces, a nephew and other family members and special friends.

A visitation will be held Thursday, September 19, 2019 from 12:00 until 2:00 PM at Rich and Thompson Funeral Service in Graham. A private burial will be held at a later time by his family.
