Charles Ashley “Chuck” Loy, 51, of Haw River, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro.
A native of Alamance County, Mr. Loy was the husband of Michele Rich Loy and the son of the late Jerry Ashley Loy and Peggy Roddy Loy Burwell, who survives.
Mr. Loy worked in MRO and later Quality Control for Honda Power Equipment Manufacturing in Swepsonville.
He was a 1987 graduate of Graham High School and a 1993 graduate of Elon College. He was an avid golfer and gamer and loved the beach.
In addition to his wife, Michele, of the home, and mother Peggy, Chuck is survived by two daughters, Hadleigh Loy and Morgan Loy, both of the home; his grand dog, Nugget Marie Loy; two sisters, Elizabeth Lufkin and her husband, Robert, of Houston, TX, Ginny Olson and her husband, Phil, of Smithfield, VA; mother-in-law, Cindy Rich of Haw River; sister-in-law, Kimberly Rich-Shanks and her husband, James, of Graham; an aunt, Dot Blackwell and her husband, John, of Isles of Capri, FL; four nephews and two nieces.
The family will receive friends Friday, January 15, 2021 from 3:00 to 4:00 PM at Rich and Thompson Funeral Home in Graham.
A Celebration of Life will follow at 4:00 PM in the Rich and Thompson Chapel.
The family would like to thank Penny, and the rest of the staff on the 2nd Floor Midwest Medical ICU in Moses Cone Hospital for the wonderful care shown to them and Chuck during this time.
