Charles Colon Albright, Sr., 81, of Burlington, died Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at the Hospice Home in Burlington.
A native of Orange County, Mr. Albright was the husband of Betty Sue Williams Albright and the son of the late James Goodman Albright and the late Cleo Moore Albright.
Mr. Albright was retired as supervisor with Lucent Technologies. He was a member of the Communication Workers of America and the Telephone Pioneers of America.
Mr. Albright loved the beach, his flowers and yardwork. He was an avid hunter and a former member of the Alamance Beagle Club.
In addition to his wife, Betty, of the home, Mr. Albright is survived by his daughter, Dana Albright Johnson (Mark) of Burlington; his son, Charles Colon Albright, Jr. (Anita), of Burlington; a grandson, Ben Johnson; a brother, Jesse Albright (Sandy), of Durham and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Mr. Albright was preceded in death by a brother, James Wesley Albright.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, May 20, at 2:00 pm in the Rich and Thompson Chapel in Burlington. Entombment will be in the mausoleum at Alamance Memorial Park. Officiating will be Rev. Johnie Hinson.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 – 1:45 prior to the service. Other times they will be at the residence.
