Catherine G. Cornetto

     Catherine G. Cornetto,  94, of Burlington,  passed away on Friday, 9/18/2020.  A native of Paterson, NJ,  she was the wife of the late Carmen A. Cornetto and the daughter of Robert Hellar and Celia Ganotto Hellar,  both deceased.

     Catherine was very involved in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.  She was a former Girl Scout Leader and was very active with Meals on Wheels.  She was also very supportive of charities that benefitted children.

     Known to all as a loving, caring and nurturing mother, grandmother and great grandmother,  Catherine is survived by a daughter, Cathy C. Dixon and her husband, Terry,  of Sanford;  her son, Larry Cornetto and his wife Alisa,  of Burlington;  her grandchildren,  Jon Cornetto, Chris Cornetto, Carmen Bullard and Lindsey Causey; her great grandchildren, Elisha Bullard, Kayden Alexander, Sofia Cornetto, Joy Bullard, Joey Alexander, Joshua Bullard and Levi Causey.  In addition to her husband and parents,  she was preceded in death by a daughter,  Linda Ann Cornetto Whisenant.

     A Mass of the Resurrection to celebrate her life will be held at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday,  9/22/2020.  Burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park.

     The family will receive friends at the church,  from 10:30 until 11:00 a.m.,  immediately prior to the service.
