Carolyn Payne Seay

Mrs. Carolyn Payne Seay, 74, of Burlington passed away at Alamance Regional Medical Center on Tuesday, November 28, 2017.

A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Bruce Wayne Seay and the daughter of Robert Otis Payne, Sr. and Viola Shepherd Payne, both deceased. Mrs. Seay retired from Mebtel in Mebane, NC. She was a very active member of the First United Methodist Church of Graham and the Lunch Brunch (lunch group).

Survivors include two daughters, Teresa S. Hill and husband Craig and Lynn S. Kernodle and husband Dennis, all of Burlington; two grandchildren, Christa Hill and Summer Kernodle; and sister, Kay Payne of Burlington. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Gracie Lynn Kernodle and brother, Robert O. Payne, Jr.

A memorial service will be conducted at the First United Methodist Church of Graham on Monday, December 4, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. by Rev. Kevin Baker with the family receiving friends from 10:15 until 11:15 a.m. prior to the service. Other times the family will be at the residence.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Graham, 303 North Main Street, Graham, NC 27253.
