Carol Goad Granger
Carol Goad Granger of Stonehedge Drive, Graham passed away suddenly on Friday, September 6, 2019 at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital.
Carol was born October 5, 1939 to the late Coy M. and Ruth H. Goad. She graduated from Beaver High School, Bluefield, WV in the class of 1957. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Charles “Chuck” Granger.
Mrs. Granger retired from UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill, but was an avid Duke fan. Carol loved playing cards with her friends at the Kernodle Senior Center and was an active volunteer at Alamance Regional Medical Center. She attended the First Baptist Church of Graham.
In addition to her husband Chuck, she is survived by her daughters, Pamela “Pam” Carol Granger and Kimberly “Kim” Granger Wagner, both of Burlington; granddaughters, Shelby Wagner Shelton (Sam) of Boone, Alexis Neal (Jason) of Graham; grandsons, Cole and Halen Wagner of Burlington; and brother, Clinton Goad (Shirley) of Tennessee. Carol was preceded in death by her two sisters, Hester Goad Copley and June Goad Hill.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Little Pink Houses of Hope, 2442 Tribek Court, Burlington, NC 27215 or the First Baptist Church of Graham, 224 North Main Street, Graham, NC 27253.
A memorial service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Graham on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. by Rev. Chris Howe and Rev. Shannon Hall. The family will receive friends immediately following the serving. At other times they will be at the residence.
